What camera and gear should I bring?

Ideally, you will have an entry level DSLR, Micro four thirds camera or better. However, you can still attend with a point and shoot camera, though you may not achieve the best results with such a camera and to practice some of the advanced techniques you will learn during the tour may not be possible.

You should bring, if possible:

  • DSLR or Micro four thirds camera
  • Memory Cards - the more the better
  • Flash (built in flash is ok) - we may use this during the day sessions as a fill flash
  • Assortment of lenses - not mandatory, though we will shoot a variety of locations that may benefit from different focal lengths
  • tripod (lightweight if possible) - essential for Paris by Night - a lightweight tripod can be rented on request, subject to availability (€20)
  • camera bag - always useful
  • umbrella, just in case it rains!
