So, you have enjoyed looking around St Paul and found your way to Place des Vosges to experience the delight of the beautiful square. Take your time and look around at what the square has to offer. All around the edges of the square you will find art galleries, cafes and restaurants.
A Morning in Le Marais - part 2
If you are hungry after all that art appreciation, there are plenty of cafes and restaurants to choose from. We often eat at Café Hugo, as though it is a tourist Café the prices are pretty good and the food is quite nice. We really like the Oeuf Meurette, which is poached eggs in red wine and bacon sauce, seriously delicious!
As you can see above and to the right, Place des Vosges plenty of art galleries for all interests. There is plenty to do and see here to occupy you for hours if you want to spend the time. Ranging from galleries of sculptures, paintings, photography and lots more. If art and the appreciation of art is your thing, a visit to Place des Vosges is highly recommended.
There are a lot of other restaurants for you to look at too, so be sure to look around and choose the one you like the most.
Place des Vosges was so named after the French revolution when the region of Vosges in the north east of France was the first to pay taxes to the new French government. They renamed the square in their honor.





In part 3 we take you over to rue des Rosiers and rue Vieille du Temple to take a look at the fashion stores of the district. A must see if you like to shop and want to buy some French fashion.
