Paris has a large number of well-kept parks and gardens. From the beautiful Parc des Buttes-Chaument in the 19th, complete with waterfall to the equally stunning Jardin des Plantes in the 5th, complete with Zoo! Whatever you are looking for, you are sure to find a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the Paris sunshine.
Parc des Buttes-Chaumont
Officially opened in 1867, this park is very popular with Parisians, which has a lot to do with the amazing views of Paris on offer and stunning view of Sacre Coeur. Add to this the 105 ft waterfall, you can easily appreciate why this park is so popular at weekends. A great place for a stroll and a picnic. Click on the picture to the left to find out more.
Jardin des Plantes
Complete with a Zoo, a Natural History museum, a Labyrinth and some wonderful gardens to view, there is enough here to keep you busy for a whole day! Originally founded in 1626 as a royal garden for medicinal plants, this vast garden is open to the public all year round.
