Great Modern Architecture in Paris
Paris is definitely more famous for old historic buildings. However, here at Paris by Photo we are well aware that Paris is also full of beautiful modern Architecture that in our opinion is well worth a look during your vacation in Paris.
We have started this page with some photos of buildings by Frédéric Borel, as we really love his work and you can find a lot of it in Paris. As we wonder around Paris taking photos of Paris for the Paris by Photo site, we will be sure to capture photos of all the modern architecture around and post updates from time to time on this page, so check back often for updates.
Frédéric Borel’s Post Office building houses not only a postoffice, but also subsidised housing for postal workers. You can find the building at 113 rue Oberkampf, in the 11th. Take a look at www.paris-update.com for more information on an exhibition showcasing some of the great architecture in Paris.
According to Wiki, Frederic’s buildings belong to the architectural style of Deconstructivism. We find his work very beautiful and interesting, though unfortunately, the base of the building below has been left to rot a bit (you can see some of the rubbish next to the post boxes), hence no picture of the whole facade of the building. We hope to go back and take some shots from within the courtyard soon.

The shot directly above and the shots below were taken using the Canon TS-E 17mm shift lens.

These next few were taken of his building at 131, rue Pelleport Paris, 75020
