Paris Gay Pride
The 2010 Paris Gay Pride departed from Montparnasse around 14:00, passing through Port Royal, Boulevard St-Michel, Boulevard St-Germain, Pont de Sully, Boulevard Henri IV arriving at Place de la Bastille for the end-of-march party.

The music was loud, the outfits louder! Read on to follow us from the start until well into the evening for the 2010 Paris Gay Pride.
We arrived at Montparnasse a little early to catch the build up to the March. We wanted to capture the excitement as more and more people turned up to tae part in the march. As you can see in the photos above and to the left, we were not the first to arrive!
There were plenty of Police around to block the roads ahead to ensure the 2010 Paris Gay Pride went ahead smoothly. In general, the Police attend all marches, protests etc in Paris, so do not feel alarmed if you see a heavy Police presence, they are just there to ensure things go well.
As usual, the Gay Motorbike Club led the Paris Gay Pride March. For the start of the journey, just ahead of them, there were some fire breathers impressing the crowds with their impressive fiery display. Go check out the gallery to see more pictures of them.
Just like in 2009, the weather for the Paris Gay Pride March was fantastic. Mostly bright sunshine with the odd cloud passing by to cool everyone down. The marchers could not have wished for better weather.
Like the previous years, there were plenty of bright and colorful costumes.
The crowds were out in force! Usually these events attract over half a million people. This year it felt like double that!
