Brought to you by: Paris by Photo
Not only do you get to taste the locally produced foods, watch sheep shearing and get access to local cottage industry products but you also get to explore the beautiful farm, as per all the pictures below!

With plenty of farm animals to see, kids (baby goats) among them, your own kids are going to love to visit this place. They have chickens, horses, ponies, pigs and goats. Not to mention a lot of wild birds around the farm.

Of course it is also worth taking a look around the farm for more than just the livestock. The Farmhouse is gorgeous and there are plenty of flowers to delight the eyes too.

We love this farm cat, no doubt resting in between hunting all the Mice and birds on the farm! A nice life if you can get it!
What a picture an old rusting tractor and trailer makes! We came across abandoned tractor on the way to the farm.

Not just open for the Fête des Fermes!
Remember, many local farms are open to the public to buy local produce. Most of them will not object to you taking a nose around either, especially if you buy something first;) Go visit the website for Ferme de la Noue to look at what else they have to offer and check opening times (website in French).

And don't forget Haute Vallée de Chevreuse is a great place to spend a day exploring and enjoying the countryside, it is not all about visiting the farms. There are some great mountain biking tracks around here, with events held often and road cyclists are to be found everywhere enjoying those lazy country roads.

You can find out more about Vallée de Chevreuse by visiting
this website (English and French).

If you are hosting an event in Paris and want us to cover it on this site,

The best Jam in the World!
Originally we were not going to include pictures or information about the jam because it is not from the local area. After tasting the jam we decided we had to write about it and show you some pictures.
As we have already written, the jam is not from Haute Vallée de Chevreuse. The jam is actually made in Nueil-sur-Layon, quite a way to the west and a little south towards La Rochelle.

The gentleman selling the jam informed us that it is made my disabled people. You can check out their website
here.

We started on the Strawberry Jam today, which is just bursting with strawberries!

As soon as we opened the jar we could see delicious looking strawberries just waiting to be spread on our toast!

We ate ours with lashings of D'Isigny butter on some English toast .

This really was in our opinion the best Strawberry Jam we have ever tasted!
We are big fans of pudding in all shapes and sizes, but no pudding we have eaten has come close to be this simple yet so very very tasty!

What is better than 1 jar of Strawberry Jam from Nueil-sur-Layon?
Well 3 more jars of jam by the same producers of course!

We are already looking forward to trying out the Raspberry, Mirabelle Plum and Blackcurrant jams!

If you want to find out where you can get some of this jam, email
boutique@arche-aigrefoin.org or call them on +33 1 30 52 86 29. They also have a store not too far from Paris:
