We think these goats are probably the most civilized goats we have seen. Clearly, they must have been taught to queue by the British. The French never queue like that (or queue full stop)!
We love the strong flavour of this goats cheese and think it looks great too with the black ash. To really enjoy this, leave it out of the fridge for a few hours. Eat with salad or just enjoy with a nice traditional French baguette.

With all that yummy goats milk they make cheese, which you can buy in the Farm Store. Delicious cheese it is too! We left with a nice full bag of French goat's cheese and other locally produced food.
As well as the local farm produce, during the Fête des Fermes, you also have access to other locally sourced produce and cottage industry goods.

They have goat's cheese for all tastes, from seriously ripe and tasty to fresh, creamy and mild.

You can also buy fresh bread, eggs, fresh chicken (you need to pre-order), goat meat, goat sausages, local honey, local jams, flour, milk, butter and lots more!

To the left you can see the unprocessed wool that was actually sheared that very day.
You can buy some of the local cottage industry woolen goods, including balls of local wool, hats, scarves and even jumpers!

Plenty of local produce available during the open day, including local honey (left). French produce is amongst the finest in the world. Make sure you try as mush of it when you are in France!
Now it is not all about buying stuff. You also get to see the farm animals, witness sheep shearing and more! It is amazing to see the origins of that nice wooly hat you like to wear in the winter!

Throughout the day they take sheep from the pen and shear them. They were certainly making a racket in the pen.
It is surprising how fast they can actually shear a sheep. Not sure we would like to have our hair cut in a similar way, though we can state that the sheep (Piere) was not harmed in any way.
